Dear Sister    again I find myself seated for the purpose of writing you a fiew lines to inform you that we are well hope this will find you enjoying the same good blessing  our health has ben very good this fall and summer with the exceptions of a fiew sick days  George had  it has ben so long since we heard from any of you that we have begun to think that you have forgotten us something over three months since we heard from any of you would like to hear how times is their and how you are all getting along not that I have any notion of going back there  times are very dull here at present  we have had quite a drough hear injured cotton crops very much this will not be more than onethird of a crop of cotton maid throughout the cotton staits  though cottoen is having a good prise  Corn crops are very good Wheat and oats fine  I recon we will all live some way  our country is improving considerable have had somefinemeetings here this fall some 2 or 3 hundred added to the different churches society is emproving sharply     great excitement about railroads in this county     think we will have one ..................through our county soon    there is a great many hanes at work now well enough of that probaly you would like to know something about how we are getting along with our work we have not done much emproving yet  have ben gathering corn and have to comence picking cotton Tell Aunt Sallie we are ready for Pat and Dellie after we get through picking cotton we will build and after that I am going to get married you must comeout to the wedding     when you write tell me whether Augustus has been down to see you or not and whether he talks of coming out here this fall or not I received a letter from him some time ago he said he was coming out here this fall    I wrote to him but havent received any answer  Tell the connection that if they dont write to me Ill not write to them I have written to all of them and some hasent answered my letter yet  so i can do without hearing from them as well as they can from me tell George Parrish to write soon as this is Sunday and I want to go see her* i must close hopeing to hear from you soon    George joines me in love to all so nothing more but remains
